FortBerens-2012-PinotNoirRosee copy copy

We have been working with Marian exclusively since 2009. She has designed our wine label, print material, POS material, advertising campaigns and a variety of other things. We are extremely happy with the results, the relationship and the process.

After working together on the branding, she has been able to design most materials without a lot of revisions, saving cost and time. She works well with other professionals, including photographers, copy writers and marketing & advertising consultants.

Stunning photos with wonderful texture and style! We hired Marian to shoot the cover photo for the new Barney Bentall album “Flesh & Bone” and the results were beyond our expectations.

Utilizing richly textured outdoor public spaces, Marian captured exactly the look we were hoping to achieve and then some! Her gentle, personable approach put the artist at ease, resulting in some beautiful shots that we used in both the album and subsequent marketing material.

She’s a joy to work with, brings heaps of creativity to the project and delivers wonderful results.
Tracey Page, Label Services and Touring at Reliant Music

I see the work of a lot of competent designers out there, but Marian’s work truly stands out from the crowd. The words that come to mind are elegant, european-influenced and imaginative. I would highly recommend Marian for whatever design projects you might have. She is also very focussed, never missing a deadline. A delight to work with!

Marian has been my designer for over 17 years…wow!! She has helped my company grow from a small home based business to the company that it is today! I could not have gotten to where I am without her! Her eye for design and attention to detail are impeccable. She knows how to work with me on creating the image that I want for my company. Her designs have made Healingscents into a brand that people know and trust. I am truly grateful for all the heart and soul that Marian has put into the work she has done for me over our many years together!

Marian did an excellent job designing my rack card. She was efficient, provided me with several designs to choose from, and her rates were great value for the service and design she provided. I highly recommend her for graphic design work for small and large companies.
Leanne Harder, Contract Mediator and Trainer at Employee Family and Assistance Program

Over the ensuing years we have collaborated on several other creative projects. Marian is a ready source of inspiration and constructive criticism. Marian is skilled as both a graphic designer and digital photographer, she has numerous examples of both types of work published both locally and internationally.

Marian is also a professional, she is an expert in her craft, and constantly seeks to learn new skills to strengthen and expand upon her personal practice. She manages a large client base producing innovative solutions that meet the clients design needs. She possesses a strong design vision and has the desire to only create products and solutions of the highest quality. Marian is reliable, punctual, trustworthy and honest.

Raves about the book ‘Verdwaald in Ponoka’

‘Lost in Ponoka’ is a portrait of a strange and wonderful area full of genuine cowboys and
displaced aboriginals, quirky Dutch folks, disassociated teenagers, psychiatric patients and real dinosaurs, captured in photographs, stories and music.

“A beautiful book, stunning photos and a great CD.”
DJ Dolf Jansen in the popular radio show Spijkers met Koppen

“Short stories written in a gently wistful but understated style… illustrated with beautiful photos.”
National Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant

“This is not a beautiful book with a hastily added soundtrack. It also isn’t a great album featuring some exaggerated design project. No, this is a full work of art, a world in itself to get lost in.”
Mousique.nl

‘With this versatile project De Gier continues to show his talent: entertaining stories, artistic photos and a fine album to boot.’
National Dutch newspaper Nederlands Dagblad

‘A light-hearted, melancholy style, reminiscent of David Sedaris (…) A very beautiful document. A big compliment for photographer Marian De Gier, the older sister who did not return with the family to the Netherlands, but continued to study in Canada. Especially for this project she went back to Ponoka to capture her memories in stunning photos.
