a little about Marian…
Marian De Gier has been the owner of a graphic design business since she graduated from the Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 1992. She has since worked as a graphic designer and art director, as well as an accomplished photographer. Marian has been a consultant at various design firms and has worked both in Vancouver, Canada and the Netherlands. She is fluent in English and Dutch.
From 1994-2009, Marian was the Art Director of the bi-monthly marketing trade publication ‘Tactics’. Since 2009 she has designed the brand identity, including labels, signage and advertising campaigns for Fort Berens Estate Winery, located in Lillooet and continues to be involved in their brand development.
Marian’s photography has been published in several publications and CD packages. Some of her prints have sold privately. In 2013 she worked on a book with her brother containing Alberta landscape photographs and stories that has been published in the Netherlands.
Marian provides service on a freelance basis in the field of art direction and design; specializing in identity & brand development, editorial design, label design and packaging. She is flexible, organized, able to meet deadlines, loves living in Vancouver, a good cup of coffee in the morning and appreciates a well-designed logo.
